Neversoft Baby Intro (5mb)
I created all of the sound for this intro to Tony Hawk Project 8 except for the licensed music.
Tony Hawk Project 8 (8mb)
This showcases the field recordings that I was involved with as well as level events, AI shouts, and cutscenes.
With another coworker, we recorded the raw SFX for all of the terrain sounds (roll-tones, reverts, ollies, click-clacks, etc.) on a multitude of terrain surfaces (concrete, asphalt, grass, dirt, etc.)
Level events that I helped to create and implement include the tree foliage, bamboo grind, and fence break within this video
I recorded and implemented the AI shoutouts when skating near them, hitting them, landing a trick, or bailing.
Created and implemented the background loops and one-shots (birds, distant mowers, etc.)
The ending cutscene is one of many muggings that I manufactured in the game.
Although I did not do the animation sync sounds in Tony Hawk Project 8, I was wholly responsible for all of the AI skate animation sounds in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Proving Grounds, which are similar to the ones shown in this video.
GUN Cutscene Dialogue (35mb)
This simply shows a few of the many cutscenes that I edited dialogue for.
I did NOT create any of the other sounds beyond editing the dialogue.
THP8 - Dancing Mascot (25mb)
I did all of the work on this cutscene, and subsequent wall-paper splatter for the goal objects.
This is also a good show of various AI reactions, both positive and negative (during the flatland trick section)
THP8 - Capitol Building (20mb)
This is one of a few major goals which I implemented sounds for. I did NOT create the specific laser sounds in this goal.
Each individual laser is its own emitter which had to be modeled in 3dsmax with specific logic to load and kill itself properly.
Ending cutscene I did not edit but it has a lot of my voices in it.
THP8 - Ladder Climb (10mb)
This shows more terrain sounds that I was pleased with recording, editing, and implementing (metal ladder, rooftop, tiles, thin metal, plywood, etc.)
THP8 - Bam Margera (6mb)
This is another cutscene that I did the full soundtrack for.
I specifically like the camera movement and whooshes that add to the movement.
THP8 - Nyjah and Lynz (4mb)
This cutscene shows more of how I treat the sounds within the game to match the environment that they're playing in.
THPG - General Philly Environment (16mb)
This is a general run-through of the Philadelphia area of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.
I created the main background for this area along with oneshots (ambulances, police sirens, dog's barking, crows, etc.).
I created new assets for concrete/asphalt and metal pole grinds that are shown throughout the video.
Vehicles were recorded/edited/implemented by me and are present throughout the video.
AI Skater terrain sounds and footpushes were synced and implemented by me.
Weather SFX sounds were edited and implemented by me and shown better in a video below.
THPG - Intro Movie (11mb)
This is the Intro video to Tony Hawks Proving Ground
I was in charge of editing the sound for the beginning section as well as the Career/ending section, except for the licensed soundtrack.
I did NOT do the Hardcore or Rigger sections, although I did record sounds that were used in editing those sections by my coworker.
THPG - Rain and Wet Terrain (6mb)
This shows the weather SFX that I made that is used throughout the entire game.
It's comprised of a few variable intensity rain loops that are mixed together depending on the rain intensity variable within the game.
There is also a changeover for terrain sounds when rain is present. Splashes on the pavement and muddy squishes are added to reinforce the weather within the game.
